Honing the Craft of Storytelling with Tim Ralphs
The Hive @ Cedar Farm,
Sunday 17th May, 10.30am - 3.30pm
£30/£25 Booking is essential
Storytelling, alive, in the moment, unscripted, is the art of making decisions. What words to say? How to say them? What gestures to make? As the tale comes alive between teller and listener these decisions are made too fast for any conscious awareness. Join Award winning Storyteller, Tim Ralphs for a workshop in which he explores exercises to build rapport with the audience, to make stories more vivid and help with the tricky task of preparing and learning a tale.
This is a participatory workshop for people who have some confidence with public speaking. It will be a fun and engaging exploration of some of the core skills that will help you make the best choices in developing your stories as well as deepening your performance skills. Wear clothes you’re comfortable moving around in and bring notepaper if you're the sort of person who likes making notes. Please let us know in advance if you have any access needs you want to make us aware of.
